Air Asia ticket to BKK from LCCT
Bangkok first day trip.This is the first time I landed in Bangkok. Base on news before the day we depart, Bangkok have an increasing of 50% case on H1N1, but we still decided to go go go....
Fly from LCCT to BKK is FD 3572 10.40am, reach BKK at 11.40am Bangkok time. To prevent heavy traffic jam in KL at the morning working time, so I decided to wake up early in the 6am and the taxi will reach my house at 7am. Check in baggage very early at around 830am then go counter to collect my ticket. Nowaday AirAsia no longer free seating anymore, so no need to Q there for nice place. Still long time to reach boarding time, so I went to Old Town Coffee Shop at LCCT for a coffee to wake me up. The important thing will soon coming before we depart from LCCT. After depart, we saw a lot of duty free shop. For me, so happy to see the duty free shop because I need to buy one carton of........
Few hours ago, we reached Suvarnabhumi Airport. Reached Bangkok airport at 12.00pm, but need to wait my friend that come from penang airport. While waiting for them, my stomach are calling me for food, so went to airport food court having light breakfast. They were a lot of selling cigar, chocolates, alcohol and yes, cosmetics and fragrances, but the price is not cheap as LCCT. After fill something into my stomach, I started to find a taxi and looked around the travel agent. I took taxi from airport, pls dont go for the taxi driver standing outside the gates as their charge will be higher. I took a taxi for 8 person is 1200baht from airport to hotel. Our first day hotel is Best Western MayFair Suit. This is the hotel address. 36 Soi Somprasong 2 ( Phethburi 13 ), Rajthevee, Phayathai Road District, Bangkok, Thailand.
The hotel service are good and they provided a tuk tuk to drive customer out from the hotel to the main road. Just a 10 minus walk from the main road to Platinum Mall. After check in and get fresh bath, Platinum Mall was our first destination. If you want to get a quantity and cheap price stuff, this is the shopping mall that you must go. Buy up to 3 item at a shop will get a cheaper price.
It had a delicious food at 6 floor food court. Our first lunch is in the 6 floor of Platinum Mall - Fuji Restaurant. This is a good n delicious Japanese restaurant. But I forgot the total price of 4 person for lunch at here. After the lunch, we starting our shopping journey. Prepare the energy for walk walk walk from the time till midnight.
We just take a short walk at Platinum Mall. After this, we see the Bangkok map get from hotel to go for Central World. But...we went for wrong direct to Central World Plaza. The actual and correct way to Central World from Platinum Mall is only 5 - 10 minus but we walk another way round, so we used around 30 - 45 minus walk to that. After this walk my leg become very pain. I stand at pedestrian overcrossing, at last I saw the MBK, so Siam Paragon are our next destination. Very happy to see the MBK because Siam Paragon is just opposite of that.
For my advise, better take taxi intead of tuk tuk. Can try for those who never take tuk tuk before. But please remember to haggle with them for the price tuk tuk driver given. Before take taxi please ask them for meter.
The last destination for first day in Bangkok is Patpong night market. We tookthe BTS from Siam Station and drop down on Sala Daeng. A lot of pub around and the sexy tiger show as they call ping pong show. That is similar as Petaling Street in KL. They was a lot of copy right branded you can get over there.
After the walk at Patpong night market, I was exhausted and try to find a place for a drink to quench my thirst for a hot walked at Patpong. Take a short rest then will enjoy the relaxable foot massage at Patpong. Head, shoulder and leg are cost us 300baht. It will be infinitely enjoyable activity in Bangkok.
Day 2
Unwanted to wake up feeling when the phone ring ring ring... I knew it is my friends morning call for breakfast at hotel. Till the end I must wake up if not I will miss the breakfast. After breakfast I still can lay on the bed for around half an hour will waiting my friend make up for the day trip again. haha.
Today journey are went to Grand Palace and Wat Arun. Suffering for hot weather in Grand Palace. We took taxi with meter to Grand Palace is only 81 baht from hotel. I'm so 'cham' because I fully paid for the taxi because 3 of them are accompany me visited all temple inside Grand Palace. And another recommented temple is Wat Arun that is opposite of Grand Palace. Need to take a boat to cross over river only will reach Wat Arun. Can feel the significant of the building and that is make by gold. Entrance fee is 350baht per person. Must wear a long pants only can get in. We didnt wear it because cannot effort to wear all the day with long pants, so we are rent a sarung at the entrance of Grand Palace.
While buying ticket I already cannot wait for snap snap snap the picture in front of the ticket counter. Building design is very very significant. So cant stop to snap it for memory. So I always heard 'cik ca cik ca' sound from my camera.
The next destination of Grand Palace is China Town. Lunch at China Town. At here, we find the air con restaurant because of the weather outside are damn hot. We took a short lunch at one of the shark fin restaurant. After this lunch we are rushing to Wat Arun.
For my advise, please take the government public transport to cross over river at station Si Phraya, it only cost 3baht per person. If ask taxi driver to bring you there, u will kenal kao kao la. First we told taxi driver that we going to Wat Arun, ask him to drop us at the boat station. U know where he drop us？？？ Luckly my friend know the government public transport for boat. So we request him to drop us there. Taxi driver will bring you to the agent for a boat tour cost 2000baht per boat.
Last destination of the day, Suan Lum Night Market. We had our dinner there with try out all the local food. It really spicy till perspire heavily.....At here we can find a lot of local people sale their own design of shoes, home make light, shirt and many many more...Suan Lum is better compare with Patpong....even is bigger then Patpong...We wouldn't feel boring when walk at Suan Lum night market is because each shop sale different product and they product design are special....They use their own design for own product.
After the few hours walk at here....The ending at Suan Lum are foot massage again...Bye to Suan Lum...
Day3
Another day that needed wake up every the early....coz today are went ahead for the famour market "Floating Market". The tour van reached at hotel at 7am. So wake up early and breakfast at hotel. 2 hours journey to reach floating market, so nothing to do at the journey, just take a rest at Van. I booked floating market tour at the hotel reception.
After 2 hours journey, at last I reached the famous Dumnoen Saduak Floating Market. I took the boat for the market tour is around 1hours that cost 150baht. They business all at boat, and they can put whatever at the boat for sale. At first I very scared that I will fall into the river because the boat are bang one to another one.I bought an banana at the shopping for floating market. haha...because nothing for me to buy ....Nothing much to say in the trip, for me is just a normal market not much thing to buy....
Haha...the next destination after this is...I need to go meet my friend at Platinum mall. Today is nothing special as similar as day 1. Today is the same shopping at few shopping complex that near to each other as Siam Paragon, Erawan, Platinum Mall and MBK ....
We tried out the platinum mall food count local food. Today journey just show out the food we took.
Day 4
Today we need to move Best Western Mayfair Suite Hotel to Baiyoke Sky hotel. This is the tallest hotel at Bangkok City.Early morning after packing all our baggage, hotel tuk tuk driver send us to the hotel. To save time, after we check-in at Baiyoke Sky Hotel, we took BTS to chatucak weekend market.
We reached there is around 2pm. Start to shopping at here and we discuss to meet up at 7pm in gate 2
